"A NEW PAGE"

As Mayor of BG, I will be heavily invested in “RACIAL UNITY & ECONOMIC PROSPERITY”. A lot of people believe these are two separate issues but actually they go hand in hand. Competition should be based solely on the character of the product and not the color of someone’s skin. In doing so, Bowling Green will be even more attractive to entrepreneurs.

Last year, I was appointed by Mayor Wilkerson to the Workforce Recruitment and Outreach Committee to assist the City of Bowling Green to comply with its equal employment policies. One of the responsibilities of the Mayor of BG is to appoint residents of the city to one of the many boards with the approval of the Board of Commissioners.

As Mayor of BG, I will appoint residents who are diverse, dynamic and with a different point of view so the City of BG will continue to prosper for all people.

RACIAL UNITY:

The city of Bowling Green must confront bigotry by promoting unity especially when it comes to race. What makes us so dynamic is that we’re so different. Let’s always celebrate our multiplicity of cultures.

ECONOMIC PROSPERITY:

When people live in peace together, they can prosper that much more together. The city of Bowling Green has an elected, sworn responsibility to lay the legislative groundwork for all of its residents to achieve greatness.

ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY:

Environmental planning, financing, and managing in Bowling Green has a direct outcome on its residents livelihood. Areas such as energy efficiency, brownfield development, solid waste & wastewater management, and transportation must be addressed.

PERSONAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

The city of Bowling Green officials must be ethical when carrying out the will of the people. The procedures in place must not be compromised to effectively resolve disputes. Everyone must own up to their personal wins and losses.
